It is not so simple as that, of course.

Though... I am not an accurate source of information. I am only relaying a bit of what Akuki-senpai told me. And he seemed to find the entire process tiring and tedious to recount.

A duel of this nature between idols means outperforming the other in front of an audience. Who can perform the best, for the longest, and still retain the attention and excitement of the fans? It is, essentially, a competition. The stronger performers win of course.

And do you do these singing competitions often to settle disputes?

Hopefully not. According to Akuki-senpai, the stakes we faced in the particular Judgement he spoke of was the disbandment of our unit.

I am the Leader of our unit now though, and I would not allow mutiny within the ranks. He would not tell me much about the affair. Other than to say our former leader had gone through quite an ordeal, and he was still struggling with how to handle it all upon his return. Apparently, he had vanished for many months.

While it is one method of settling internal disputes, I would much prefer that we be open with one another and settle matters without having to resort to extremes.
